Joseph Carbone

Biography:

Joseph Carbone first picked up the guitar atage 14 in 2004. His love of the instrument has allowed him to study many different styles of music such as rock, pop, blues, and jazz before finallyfinding his true passion: the classical guitar. Along with an extensive background teaching both popular and classical music, he has had many great performance opportunities, including being a pit musician in musicals throughout the South Jersey area, playing jazz in a wedding band, and performing for children in schools throughout South Jersey. In 2010, he was a semi-finalist in the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society National Competition. Joe Carbone has performed in master classes with Richard Provost, and on two occasions with internationally renowned concertartist, Jason Vieaux. Mr. Carbone attends Rowan University where he is obtaining a degree in classical guitar performance studying with Joe and Kathleen Mayes.
