Anthony Salicandro


Tony has performed with such celebrity musicians as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, Johnny Mathis, Sammy Davis Jr, Burt Bacharach, Cher, Steve & Eydie Gorm?, Barry Manilow, Doc Severnson, and Peter Nero & The Philly Pops. His radio and television credits include HBO's "Fifty Years of Johnny Mathis," Whyy's "On Canvas with Minas," "The Mike Douglas Show," "Linda Rondstadt Live at the Sands" under the direction Nelson Riddle, "Rich Little Live," "Dick Cavette Live," "The Tonight Show," "Mel Torme Live," "The Miss America Pagent" (1979-1985), and the soundtrack for "Dick Clark's Freedom Festival '89". Tony has also toured with Ben Vereen (1978-79) and Lou Rawls (1978), and his playing can be heard on CDs featuring Bobby Rydell and Lou Rawls. He performs and records with Minas, and continues to freelance in the Philadelphia/Atlantic City area. Tony holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of the Arts. He is an adjunct faculty at the University of the Arts and Rowan University. He is the Founder and Director of the Conservatory of Musical Arts (CMA) in Haddonfield, NJ (formally, the N.J. School of Music in Medford/Haddonfield, NJ).
