Kristina Gannon


Kristina Gannon is a freelance performer and teacher in the greater Philadelphia area. Her recent horn performances include: Symphony in C for the Macy's Wanamaker Organ Centennial Concert, the premiere concert of the Philos Brass Ensemble, and in The College of New Jersey Faculty Gala Concert with the faculty brass quintet. Kristina Gannon has also performed with the Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea, in the pit orchestra at Papermill Playhouse, Aspen Music Festival Orchestra, Northeast Horn Workshop Philadelphia Orchestra master class, and recorded for NFL films. In addition to performing, Ms. Gannon also maintains an active teaching career. From 2008-2010 she was a part of the Temple University Prep Community Scholars Program as assistant to the coordinator, beginning and intermediate music theory instructor, and horn teacher and taught high brass classes as part of a Presser Foundation grant in the Philadelphia Public School District from 2009-2011. In 2010, Ms. Gannon served as a librarian intern with the Philadelphia Orchestra and from 2008-2011 she assisted the Temple University ensembles manager and music librarian. Kristina Gannon received her BMusEd from The College of New Jersey, where she studied with Kathryn Mehrtens and her MM and AD in Horn Performance from Temple University, under the tutelage of Jeffrey Lang.
