Clubs

There are 5 distinct student organizations dedicated to theatre and dance activities at Rowan University. They are Campus Players, Dance Extensions, Lab Theatre, 3D Dance Club, and Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Fraternity.

The student organization's missions are as follows:

Campus Players produces three major productions annually, plus other theatre activities which shall enhance the cultural development of the college.

Dance Extensions broadens the performance opportunities for students and expands the appreciation and improves the technique of dance students at Rowan University. Dance Extensions sponsors the production of the spring student choreographed dance concert, as well as weekly master classes with guest artists and supports student attendance at the American college dance festival and regional performances by professional companies.

Lab Theatre serves as a wholly student selected, produced, and staffed theatre organization. Thus, the organization is a laboratory, giving students experience in all aspects of theatre activity. It is also a lab for student experimentation and exploration of theatrical literature and styles.

3D Dance Club "dynamically diverse dancers" or 3D is a club devoted to diversity and the development of social dance forms at Rowan University.

Alpha Psi Omega is a theatre honor society organized for the purpose of providing acknowledgement to those demonstrating a high standard of accomplishment in theatre and providing a wider fellowship for those interested in theatre. The society is not intended to take the place of any regular theatre groups, but as students qualify they may be rewarded by election to membership in this society.
