Beginning fall 2008, The College of Professional & Continuing Education (CPCE) at Rowan University will be offering an online MBA program.  The courses are developed by and offered through the AACSB accredited Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University.  It will prepare graduate students to assume managerial positions in commercial, not-for-profit, and governmental organizations/agencies.  Classes are accelerated and online offering the fastest and most convenient route to your MBA degree.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Rowan University provides contemporary graduate business education to professionals from diverse fields and academic backgrounds. The program prepares students as team leaders and team players.  The MBA curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, quantitative analysis and computing applications, and the technological and international nature of business.

Admissions requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • $50 Application Fee
  • Completed CPCE Graduate application
  • One official transcript from all colleges attended
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Statement of professional objectives (recommendation forms and guidelines for statement of objectives are included with application materials)
  • Recommended cumulative GPA of 2.8
  • Resume
  • CPCE Foundation Course Completion Form (be sure to attach all supporting materials including transcripts and syllabi, is possible)
  • Student must submit an official copy of one of the commonly accepted graduate-level standardized tests such as the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, etc.

Application deadline

Due to the complicated nature of the admissions evaluation process (including the review of foundation courses) student are strongly encouraged to apply at least one full month before their desired start term.  However, applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis up until 14 business days prior to the start of the next entry module.  Applications must be complete by this deadline in order to receive a decision before the module begins. (In some special cases where the MBA Director determines a student is admissible, but the official process is still in process, permission may be granted for a student to begin a course while the official admissions process completes.)

Eligible students should have completed the following set of seven undergraduate foundation courses:

  • Statistics I
  • Calculus Techniques & Applications
  • Foundations of Accounting
  • Principles of Economics: Global Perspectives
  • Principles of Marketing
  • Principles of Finance
  • Operations Management

Coursework

  • 36 graduate credit hours (12 courses) in 6 consecutive semesters
