Burlington County Inclusion Project

BCIP Workshops

Summer Institute on Inclusion

Each summer, BCIP offers a three-day training seminar on inclusion.  A variety of related topics are presented and discussed by Rowan University professors.

  • Training is provided through both project-wide and individual district activities.
  • Rowan University’s College of Professional & Continuing Education partners with BCIP to design specialized inclusion training.
  • Training formats include workshops, workshops series, four-day summer institutes,and on-site classroom assistance to teachers and aides.
  • The BCIP Advisory Council consists of CST directors from  participating districts and meets bi-monthly to assess training needs and plan  BCIP activities.
  • While BCIP membership consists of districts in Burlington County, participation is open to districts in other counties.
  • Workshops are held each summer for new special  and regular education teachers and staff  working in inclusive classrooms as well as bus drivers and aides.
