Background: A member of the Rowan University professional staff since January 1977, Dr. Sahm's B.S. in Secondary Education/Social Studies is from Millersville State University. His Masters and Doctorate are from Rutgers University in Contemporary American History and Educational Administration/Adult Education, respectively. His doctoral dissertation applied oral history interviews in researching professional development efforts for teachers in New Jersey. During his tenure at Rowan in the Education Institute and as Director of Adult Education (1977-1993), Dr. Sahm has either trained or managed the training of over 50,000 educators in credit and non-credit bearing activities. In addition, he has served as President of the New Jersey Association for Lifelong Learning and Vice President of two different national associations for adult education. Dr. Sahm has managed five state conferences and one national conference, as well as, assisting in the development and delivery of ten other state conferences.

A winner of numerous awards from educational organizations for service and leadership and author of several articles in the field of lifelong learning, Dr. Sahm is considered a "great resource" with background and experiences in many facets of education.
