Background:  Rebecca Snyder provides advising to all students enrolled in or planning to enroll in CPCE administered courses as well as summer semester courses.  Rebecca has served as an Academic Advisor at the high school, undergraduate and graduate levels and has functioned as an independent educational consultant.  She has over 17 years of higher education experience in admissions, advising, alumni programming, curriculum development, and student services.  As a high school counselor and independent consultant, Rebecca authored a College Counseling Resource Guide for high school seniors and parents.  Rebecca’s experience also includes her time with the University of Chicago, during which she ran Orientation and the freshman year-long transition program, served on the Alumni Schools Committee, and was a recipient of the University of Chicago’s Howell Murray Alumni Award for Service to the College.   

Most recently, Rebecca served for more than five years as the Graduate Advisor and Associate Dean for the Graduate School at Columbia College Chicago.  She holds both a B.A. Degree in History and an M.A. in Education from the University of Chicago and has been an active member of several professional organizations including NACAC, NAGAP and NODA.
