CPCE Students

The College of Professional & Continuing Education (CPCE) - the newest college at Rowan - serves the educational needs of those students who desire courses or programs outside of traditional academic sessions or within different modes of instructional delivery such as accelerated, off-site, and online.

Advising

  • If you are interested in a CPCE class or program, you should consult with a CPCE Advisor at 856-256-5435 or email the Academic Services Assistant.

Searching Courses

  • Rowan has summer classes offered within both the traditional five sessions and within non-traditional models. The non-traditional classes (usually accelerated, Saturday-only, off-site, and online) are specifically labeled in the section tally with a letter after the course section number.
  • If you are having trouble navigating through the Section Tally, click here for instructions.

Registering

  • If you are a current CPCE student, you should know to go to Student Self-Service Banner to register for a CPCE course according to the sequence given to you by your CPCE Advisor.
  • If you are new to CPCE or Rowan, you should know it’s not too late to apply for a CPCE degree or certificate program that begins this summer or fall 2008. Click here to view a list of available programs and start dates.
  • If you are a non-matriculated student and want to register for a course that has a letter after the section number in the Section Tally (CPCE course), please complete an Activation and Permission Form and return it to CPCE.
  • If you have any questions, please contact Academic Services at 856-256-5435 or email the Academic Services Assistant for information about registering for a CPCE course or program this summer.

Registration Deadlines

Registration deadlines are different for the traditional and non-traditional models.

Because they serve non-traditional students, CPCE classes are offered in a variety of ways.  CPCE classes may be offered within the sessions above or in one of a number of special CPCE sessions listed below.  These have their own registration deadlines as shown.   Rowan’s section tally includes both traditional and non-traditional (CPCE) classes; however a CPCE course is easily identifiable by a letter that is included after every course section number.

To search for classes within a certain date period look under the field “Part of Term” in the section tally. There are 3 major types of CPCE sessions:

Non-traditional (CPCE)
Summer Session Dates

Registration Opens

Registration Closes (11PM)

Numbered CPCE Sessions
(C1, C2, C3, etc.)
These are for classes that have a very specific date range that do not fit within one of ht other sessions.  These are set up class by class.

Varies – detailed start and end dates will be listed in the tally.
