Visiting Undergraduate Students

Believe it or not, summer is a great time to be enrolled in classes.  Whether you are already a Rowan University student or you attend another college/university, RU Summer Program offers a chance to:

  • More easily get a seat in the course you want and/or need
  • Catch up on fulfilling degree requirements
  • Take the prerequisites for courses you hope to register for in the fall or spring
  • Repeat any necessary course work so that you may continue to work towards your degree requirements within your desired time frame
  • Best of all, depending on the session your course is offered, you could complete a class in as little as 3 weeks!

Advising

  • If you are currently enrolled in another college or university and would like to take courses at Rowan University over the summer please be sure to consult with the registrar of your primary college/university for their policies on transferring credits.
  • Also, we suggest you sit down with your program advisor to make sure any courses you take at Rowan will satisfy the requirements you need.

Visiting Graduate Students

Summer can be the time to get your feet wet before committing to a specific program and to adjust to the rigors of balancing work and academic demands while enjoying potentially smaller class sizes, short sessions, and a lighter course load.

In addition to RU’s various undergraduate programs, The Rowan University Graduate School offers over 40 programs in six academic colleges at the master’s, doctoral and certification level. Please visit the Graduate School for more information on available programs.

If you are an alumnus who has not taken on-campus courses at Rowan University recently or if you have never taken courses at Rowan University, please contact the Coordinator of Summer Programs at 856-256-5130.

Get Activated

If you have not taken a graduate class previously at Rowan University and have not been admitted into a graduate program, you must complete a “Request to Register as a Non-Matriculated Student” form available from the Graduate School. Once the form is completed either fax it to 856-256-4436 or send it to:

Rowan University
Graduate School
Memorial Hall
Glassboro, NJ 08028

The Graduate School will let you know when you are ready to choose the course(s) you would like to take and begin the registration process.

Non-matriculated graduate students may register for up to 9 credits.  Those seeking certifications may register for no more than 6 credits.  Non-matriculated students taking graduate courses are not given any guarantee of future admission into an RU Graduate or Certification Program.  Individuals interested in the MBA program must be matriculated in order to enroll in courses.  Please visit the Graduate School for further details.
