CATALOG DESCRIPTION:

0833.601 Problems in Mathematics Education II                                                                     3 s.h.
(Prerequisite: 0833.600)

Students complete their investigations of recent developments and relevant research in mathematics education. Each student develops a finished report of a project which may be either local or national in scope but must deal with a problem in mathematics or computer science education.
 

OBJECTIVES:

Students in this course work independently on a research project, presenting and defending it to their peers as work progresses and developing the research style of writing reports.
 

CONTENT:

Students complete their thesis project, reporting progress on a regular basis in class presentations and discussions.
