Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies Colloquium
Date: December 3, 2009
The department of Philosophy and Religion Studies is hosting a colloquium entitled "Skepticism, Cognitive Health, and Practical Wisdom" with guest speaker Professor Pierre Le Morvan from The College of New Jersey. Professor Morvan will focus on the question: Can skepticism sometimes be healthy and sometimes unhealthy? His answer is yes, or so he shall argue in this talk. He will discuss skepticism, not as a problem to be solved, but as an attitude to be cultivated and tempered, one that leads to practical wisdom. All are welcome!
