Dr. Bruce Berndt, expert in Ramanujan's life and notebooks, to visit Rowan

Dr. Bruce C. Berndt, professor of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will visit Rowan as part of the Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series on Friday, April 16th from 3:30-4:30pm. Dr. Berndt will lecture on Ramanujan's life and notebooks, about which he has published numerous articles and books. Dr. Berndt is a coordinating editor of The Ramanujan Journal and, in 1996, received an expository Steele Prize from the American Mathematical Society for his work editing Ramanujan's Notebooks.
