Date: August 27, 2010
The work of Rowan's Geospatial Research Laboratory, the GIS and Planning research unit housed in the Geography and Anthropology Department, was featured in The New York Times on Friday, August 27th. The article highlighted the research project entitled "Changing Landscapes in the Garden State," which is part of an ongoing series of collaborative studies between the GeoLab and the Center for Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis at Rutgers University. In addition to a comprehensive report, the researchers have produced an interactive animated mapping of two decades of urban growth and open space loss in New Jersey from 1986 through 2007.
