Date: August 31, 2010
Dan Greenspan '97, graduate of Rowan's Computer Science program, is featured on the cover of the Summer 2010 edition of Rowan Today. Dan's intellectual curiosity and diverse interests have led him to work for NASA and at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Today, he is working as a computer software engineer on the Discovery Channel Telescope project. Dan credits two mentors with his success: A. Michael Berman (formerly of the Computer Science department) and Karen Magee-Sauer (Physics & Astronomy), who challenged him to apply his knowledge through problem solving. Dan returned to campus this past spring as an honored guest speaker at the 11th annual Dean's Tea Reception, and his contributions since graduating from Rowan were recognized.
