Ieva Zake, Sociology, has been awarded the Amicus Poloniae Award, one of the most prestigious awards of the Polish American Historical Association (an affiliate of American Historical Association).
The Amicus Poloniae Award recognizes significant contributions enhancing knowledge of the Polish and Polish American heritage by individuals not belonging to the Polish American community.
Dr. Zake received the award due to her contribution to research on the influence of the Polish American community on American politics during the post-World War II period.
