CLAS welcomes second postdoctoral fellow

Dr. Yaquan Sun has joined the department of Chemistry & Biochemistry as the College's second postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Sun is working on the optimization of drug delivery using nano-materials, a project sponsored by Rose Pharmaceutical Corporation.
In 2003, Dr. Sun earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Zhejiang University of Technology. Since earning his doctorate, he has been a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Catholic University of America; a Senior Scientist in the Organic/Medicinal Synthesis Department at Othera Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; and a Senior Research Scientist at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Sun and anticipate the contribution he will make to the important research being conducted by the department.
