Hong Ling, Physics & Astronomy, has been awarded Rowan University's 2011 Faculty Research Achievement Award and will be honored during the Celebrating Excellence Awards Ceremony on April 7 at 11:30 a.m. in the Eynon Ballroom of the Student Center.
The Faculty Research Achievement Award recognizes full-time faculty members for their outstanding achievements in research activity, either for a specific project or for a body of work accumulated over multiple years. Criteria for the award include quality of research (has the project resulted in a significant advancement in the applicant's field of interest), institutional impact (has this research included students and/or been applied in the classroom), and recognition (have publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at professional society meetings, and/or honors and awards resulted from this work).
The College congratulates Dr. Ling on his accomplishment and looks forward to a continued record of outstanding research in his field.
