Stanley Yeldell selected as "Advisor of the Year"

Congratulations to Dr. Stanley Yeldell, Law & Justice Studies, who was selected as Advisor of the Year during Leadership Rowan's Celebrating Leadership Awards on Saturday, March 26, 2011. This award is granted to an advisor of a student organization who has provided leadership through effective advising. The criteria for the award include: contributed to student learning, while allowing students to also be autonomous; provided students with an understanding of the organization and other departments within Rowan University; encouraged students and allowed for them to comfortably address their questions, concerns, and ideas; exhibited cultural awareness; and was seen as a positive role model and exemplified the goals and mission of the organization.
Dr. Yeldell's student nominator said the following: "Dr. Yeldell has gone above and beyond to make sure our organizations have succeeed. As the President of both Gamma Chi Sigma and Victim Awareness, I am well aware of Dr. Yeldell's involvement. Our clubs hold the only Law and Justice Career Day for the Science and Liberal Arts Department which would not be able to happen every year if it was not for the hard work and networking Dr. Yeldell has contributed to this school. He encouages us to get involved and is not only a wonderful club advisor but also a caring academic adviosr. Anyone that ever needs assistance or even someone to talk to can rely on Dr. Yeldell as a support system. It is professors/advisors like him that make Rowan University a fantastic school to attend."
