College of Education - Early Childhood Demonstration Center
Welcome to the
Rowan University Early Childhood Demonstration Center!
Home of the Little Owls
Our curriculum is designed to be appropriate for the developmental stages of each child, and is implemented with careful attention to a child’s individual needs, interests, and background.
We place great emphasis on play and active engagement through carefully planned learning centers, free choice activities and intentional teaching. By working with the surrounding university community, there are many additional supplemental activities to our curriculum.
We also place great value on the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of our families and we hope that you will plan to visit the school often and participate in our school wide events and celebrations.
Our goal is to partner with you as your child grows and develops and to provide the best possible environment for your child to learn and explore in order for your child to develop a life long love of learning.
We serve children ages 2 ½ to 6 years of age of Rowan University students, faculty, staff and alumni. There is limited availability to children outside of the Rowan University community in the Gold Owls classroom only. Please note: all children must be potty-trained to prior to their first day of attendance.
A mixed-aged (2 ½-6) class catering to younger students and students with flexible scheduling needs.
A 5-day prekindergarten classroom. Students must be 4 by September 30 of the approaching school year.
