About Peter Rattigan, Ph.D.
Dr. Peter Rattigan received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in Kinesiology, his M.A. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in Psychosocial Aspects of Physical Activity, and his B.Ed. from Avery Hill College, London, UK in Physical Education. His research interests include Cooperative Learning; skill development; Teaching Exercise Science in Schools, and Teen Driver Safety. He currently teaches Teaching Concepts of Secondary Physical Education; Technology & Assessment in HES; and Clinical Seminar – Health & Physical Education. He also supervises student teachers. At the state level, he is the chair of the Strategic Action Plan Committee for NJ Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (NJAHPERD). At the national level, he is the Auditor and Lead Reviewer for National Association of Health & Physical Education (NASPE). He is also the co-coordinator of the Health and Physical Education program.
