About Holly G. Willett, Ph.D.
Dr. Willett earned her bachelor’s degree with two majors—Humanities and Spanish—from San Francisco State College (now California University at San Francisco). She also holds a Master’s in Library Science from the University of California Berkeley, a Master’s in Children’s Literature from Simmons College in Boston, and a Ph.D. in Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Willett also holds a provisional certification to teach Spanish in Texas from the University of North Texas. Dr. Willett is a member of the Department of Language, Literacy, and Special Education and teaches Literacies in Today’s World. Three-quarters of her time is spent as Director of the Schaub Instructional Materials Center, the College of Education’s school library.
