About Robin Haskell McBee, Ph.D.
Dr. McBee, Ph.D., earned a Bachelor's Degree in Alternative Education from the University Without Walls/Providence (RI), a Master's Degree in Education from Lesley College with a specialization in Integrated Arts in Education, and her Ph.D. in Urban Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. She currently teaches in the undergraduate Elementary Education Program at Rowan, the Master of Science in Teaching Program, and the Master of Education in Teacher Leadership Program, which she also coordinates. Her research and scholarly expertise focuses on creating caring communities, teacher leadership, teacher educator standards, interdisciplinary instruction, multicultural education, urban education, and social studies education, and she has published on her scholarship in these areas in Action in Teacher Education, Educational Leadership, Social Education and The Educational Forum. She is a member of several professional associations, including Association of Teacher Educators, ASCD, American Educational Research Association, Kappa Delta Pi, National Council for Social Studies, and New Jersey Council for Social Studies. She is actively involved in the Association of Teacher Educators, where she is a member of its Teacher Educator Standards Task Force and Leadership Academy.
