About Karen Hutchison, Ed.D., RPT
Early childhood is a passion for Dr. Hutchison! She has been a registered play therapist since 1997 and involved in researching children's play and the correlation to optimal brain development.Graduating from the University of Texas in May 2005, she taught 5 years at Texas A&M. She then moved to Rochester, NY to become Director of Play Information for theStrong National Museum of Play. However, she missed her students and returned to university teaching, and thus, Rowan. Dr. Hutchison's plans are to be actively involved in the early childhood demonstration center and deligently advocate for children's play and recess throughout the community.
