About Jill Schwarz, Ph.D.

Dr. Jill Schwarz holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Montclair State University, M.A. in School Counseling from The College of New Jersey, and B.S. in Psychology and Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey. Her research interests include spirituality and gender issues in counseling, animal-assisted therapy, and school counselor preparation and practice. Dr. Schwarz teaches graduate counseling courses for the Counseling in Educational Settings program. She currently teaches Counseling Interviewing Skills and Techniques, Practicum in Counseling in Educational Settings, and Design and Administration of Developmental Counseling Programs. Jill is on the board for the Animal-Assisted Therapy in Mental Health Network of the American Counseling Association and is the North-Atlantic regional representative for the Women’s Interest Network of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.
