Take One! Professional Development Program
- National Board Certification, for veteran teachers, is a rigorous 10-part performance assessment that includes video portfolios, analysis of classroom practice and evaluation of content knowledge.
- TAKE ONE! is for educators at all levels, consists of one video portfolio exercise from the NBC process. Scores from this program can be banked for use in the NBC process for a total of three years.
- Accomplished Mathematics Instruction, for middle and high school mathematics teachers, is an online course to help develop and hone mathematics skills.

Take One!
Take One! is a unique offering from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards that provides a standards-based approach for improving teaching practice and links student learning to effective instruction. Teachers prepare and submit one pre-selected video portfolio entry from any of the current certificate areas of National Board Certification. A teacher can later transfer the score if he or she pursues National Board candidacy. Take One! can also provide graduate credits.
