Applying to the GSPTQ Urban Teacher Residency Program
Applications for Cohort 4 will be accepted from April 16, 2012 to July 31, 2012. Interviews will be conducted in August 2012. Candidates who qualify will be asked to participate in one or more interviews.
To apply for the Garden State Partnership Urban Teacher Residency please send the following documents to Dr. Gloria Hill, Rowan University, College of Education, GSPTQ, 201 Mullica Hill Road, Glassboro, NJ 08028:
- Cover letter (250-500 words) outlining reasons for applying, unique interest in urban teaching and personal philosophy of education
- Resume with up-to-date contact information
- Official transcripts from all higher education institutions attended including Rowan if you are a Rowan University graduate (in sealed/signed envelopes)
- Two signed letters of reference (at least one academic reference)
- Praxis II scores (must be passing) specific to content area
- 24 Hour Pre-Service Program Certificate of Completion OR Proof of registration for a September or October workshop
