Community Outreach
Kappa Delta Pi – International Education Honor Society sponsored an evening, reading around the world on February 27, 2009 designed to promote literacy. Area children K-5 enjoyed numerous activities, including getting a passport which allowed them into various rooms dedicated to one continent. For instance there was a reading room where Gateway Education Academy high school students and Rowan teacher candidates performed book talks in “Europe”. At the end of the evening each child chose a book to take home. The event was a success!
