Using Formative Assessments to Improve Teaching and Learning

Our purpose is to provide support to teachers and school leaders in creating and using formative assessments to guide instructional interventions to improve student learning.

Through this grant, teachers will engage with their colleagues and promote math instruction and assessment. Teachers from participating partner schools will attend training sessions, work in collaborative teams facilitated by project coaches, and share learning plan materials on the project web site. In addition, resources on formative assessment and learning will be available.
