This program is designed to serve the educator who aspires to become a leader in P-12 educational organizations. The aim of the program is to develop dynamic, transformational school leaders. The principal preparation program meets the requirements established by the New Jersey Department of Education for state certification as a public school administrator in positions such as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, principal, assistant principal, vice principal, and director. In order for candidates to qualify for the Certificate of Eligibility (C.E.) for the principal endorsement, they must achieve a satisfactory score on the School Leaders Licensure Assessment.
The coursework is offered entirely online and only four face-to-face meetings are required throughout the possible 7 consecutive semesters it takes to complete the program. There are also 3 benchmark meetings required for completion of the program.
