The State Board of Licensure currently allows Rowan University to recommend students for licensure in Driver’s Education. However, to do so the following criteria must be met:
- Proof that the candidate holds a CEAS or standard New Jersey Instructional Certificate;
- Proof that the candidate holds a valid New Jersey or Out of State Driver’s License along with an official driving record/abstract to demonstrate the possession of a valid driver’s license;
- Documentation of three consecutive years of automobile driving experience immediately prior to application by submitting a notarized statement;
- Documentation of successful completion of the Rowan University Driver Education Course
If the candidate fulfills the above mentioned four requirements, then, Dr. Pat Stoll, our Certification Specialist, will be able to submit their names to the State instead of the candidate having to go to the State on their own. By following this process, a quicker response time for the official licensure will occur than going to the State directly.
More specific information can be obtained from Dr. Willis or the HES Department Chairperson.
