Office of Field Experiences

The Office of Field Experiences is located in The Student Services Center in Education Hall, on the 2nd floor and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The major focus of the Office of Field Experiences is the placement of students requiring field experience in a school or clinical setting. The office also provides training opportunities for cooperating teachers and university supervisors who will be mentoring Rowan's teacher candidates.

Alerts: Clinical Practice Applications may be downloaded during the application period only. The Spring applications will be accepted August 21 through September 21. The Fall applications will be accepted November 21 through December 21. If the date falls on a weekend or holiday applications will be accepted on the following regular business day.

Praxis I
: All candidates in a certification program must provide the Student Services Center passing Praxis I scores prior to entering junior courses or field experiences.  Praxis I due dates are:

Alert!  ** Passing scores must be on file in the Student Services Center when the application for Clinical Practice is submitted.  If you have any questions regarding this, please schedule an appointment to see your College of Education academic advisor.

Candidates who entered the program prior to fall 2004 may be exempt from this requirement and may request a review of their status on a case by case basis. Make an appointment with your department advisor to request such a review.
