Praxis I and II Information

All students applying for admission into any teacher certification program at the undergraduate level, including Post-Baccalaureate students, are required to take and meet the cut-off scores, as set by the College of Education and Related Professional Studies, on the PRAXIS 1: Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST) in order to be admitted into a teacher certification program at Rowan University.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Praxis Series Tests

Praxis I

Praxis I is to be completed before your Junior Field Experience.

Praxis I due dates are:

Fall – Must be taken and passed by April 1 to be admitted into September field experiences (i.e., Growth & Learning K-3/B-5, Practicum A, Teaching and Learning A, Curriculum & Assessment, and Junior Field)

Spring - Must be taken and passed by November 1 to be admitted into January field experiences (i.e., Growth & Learning K-3/B-5, Practicum A, Teaching and Learning A, Curriculum & Assessment, and Junior Field)

*Passing scores must be on file in the Student Services Center by the close of EARLY REGISTRATION (April for Fall and November for Spring)

Reading - 175
Writing - 173
Mathematics - 174
