The 2.6 kW PV system on the Rowan Team house is a
ballasted roof mount system with an estimated
annual production of 3,250 kWh per year. The system
was designed by Rowan electrical engineering
student Steve Hazel, who has graduated and is
currently working as an Engineer at SunTechnics.
The installation was then completed by a group of
mechanical, civil and electrical engineering
students the following semester. The system has
passed all final inspections and approved by the
local utility. The system has been producing power
since October of 2007.
