Salem-Hope Creek Nuclear Power Plant Site
This site is located in on the grounds of the nuclear power plant located within Salem, NJ. Wind speed data was taken for a period of one year by the operators of the plant and given to this project in order to obtain a better approximation of the wind speed distribution throughout Southern New Jersey.

The average wind velocity over each hour was taken and then this was compared to the spreadsheets available from the turbine manufacturers website, this can be found in the links given here: Bergey's 1kW, 10 kW and 50 kW Turbine, Northern Power's 100 kW Turbine, and GE's 1.5 MW Turbine. This power yielded was taken over an hour long period, thus yielding the kWh's produced and when these kWh outputs are summed the total power that would be produced be the system is given over that time. When new data is collected the sum of the kWh's on that data is then simply added to the previous total to find the new value of kWh's produced.
