Digital Submission of Work

The Art Department can accept computer work from applicants in several forms. System platforms for computer work must be PC or Macintosh.

Software used by the department include:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • AfterEffects
  • Dreamweaver
  • Extensis Suitcase
  • Fireworks
  • Flash
  • Director
  • QuarkXPress
  • InDesign
  • Acrobat PDF
  • SoundEdit 16 version
  • Infini-D

Acceptable media for portfolio submission in this area are:

  • 100 MB Zip disk
  • 250 MB Zip disk
  • CD
  • DVD
  • Printed material (Printed work must be matted and mounted)
  • VHS tape

Clearly label your work and include:

  • Your name
  • The title and date
  • The medium
  • Dimensions or duration in time

If the work has no title label it "Untitled". The date refers to when the work was completed. The month and year will suffice.

The medium should be a brief description such as "Animation", "Digital image" or "Interactive".

For dimensions give the actual size of the work. If you have changed the scale of the work for submission provide the original size. In the case of animation or video supply the running time. If the work is interactive you need not supply dimensions.

NOTE: Don't base your portfolio solely on computer art work. Be sure to include work that demonstrates your skill at drawing in traditional mediums.
