Denis joined the big band of legendary trumpeter Maynard Ferguson, serving as Ferguson's Musical Director for five years. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Maynard Ferguson Institute of Jazz Studies, the director of the Jazz Studies Program, and the conductor/director of the Jazz Lab Band. Biography

Douglas is a graduate of the University of the Arts and Temple University. He has performed with numerous local, national and international jazz artists including Randy Brecker, Sean Jones, Ernie Watts, Doc Severenson, Larry McKenna, Bootsie Barnes, The Tommy Dorsey band, Nelson Riddle band, Jimmy Bruno, Donald Byrd, Ray Charles, James Moody, Valery Ponamarev, George Russell, and Pete Fountain. Douglas serves as the coordinator of the small jazz ensemble program and teaches the classical and jazz bass students. Biography
