About the Gallery

The Rowan University Art Gallery serves the Rowan community and surrounding region as a center for visual arts culture and education. Focusing on contemporary art from the region, nation and global community, the gallery is committed to showcasing all forms of visual expression and new media. In addition to 3-5 temporary exhibitions per year, the gallery also highlights the creativity and expression of Rowan University art faculty, staff and students with various annual exhibitions. The Rowan University Art Gallery also celebrates and promotes the cultural vibrancy located in the state of New Jersey with yearly solo or group exhibitions of artists living in the state.

Gallery Hours

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 10:00-4:30pm.
• Wednesday 10 AM - 7 PM
• Other times are possible by appointment

The gallery is closed during University winter break (mid-December to mid- January), University Spring Break and in the summer months of July and August.

Admission
Admission to the Rowan University Art Gallery is free and open to the public.
We welcome groups and can make arrangements for group tours in advance.

Proposals
The gallery accepts proposals for work and exhibitions submitted by mail. Please include a cover letter, visuals (digital images only on cd), resume, any press clippings, reviews, catalogues, and bibliographic materials. Please allow 3-4 months for return of visual materials. Send all materials to:

Location and Accessibility
Rowan University is located off exit 50A and 50B of Rt. 55. Follow Rt. 322 E to the campus. (New traffic pattern! To enter campus via 322 Eastbound, make a Left at the intersection of Joesph L. Bowe Rd. and then a Right turn after the railroad tracks. Then turn Right again). Rowan University Art Gallery is located in Westby Hall on the Rowan University campus. Westby Hall is located at the westernmost tip of the campus, next to the Science building along Route 322, across the street from the student townhouses. The gallery is wheelchair accessible along the North entrance to the building.

Parking
Parking is available in the lot next to Westby Hall (near the railroad tracks) or in the lot along Joseph L. Bowe Rd. near Rowan Hall (across the street from Glassboro High School).
