Letter from the Dean

Dr. Robert Cart - DeanWelcome to the Rowan University College of Fine and Performing Arts. The American poet, Amy Lowell said: “Art is the desire of man to express himself,” and our commitment to that desire is evident in more than 200 faculty, staff and student exhibitions and productions scheduled for this year.

The College of Fine and Performing Arts consists of over 500 arts majors, 45 full-time faculty, 44 adjunct faculty, and 19 staff members who collectively shape the vibrant arts community at Rowan University. In addition to our performances and exhibitions on campus, the faculty, staff and students collaborate in scholarly and artistic activities at the international, national and regional levels.

The college offers the Bachelor of Arts degree in all three departments as well as the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Studio Art and Graphic Design) and the Bachelor of Music. We also offer the MA and MST in Theatre, and an MM in Music Performance. All three of our departments are nationally accredited for their degree programs.

I invite you to Rowan University to experience the arts and to discover your place in the Rowan arts community.

Jon Robert Cart
Dean, College of Fine and Performing Arts
