Financial Assistance
- Federal Student Assistance
- Matriculated (accepted) students pursuing a graduate degree at Rowan University may be eligible for different types of federal student financial assistance, including but not limited to, student loans. The application process for financial aid includes filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance or FAFSA form, which is an independent process from admissions into a graduate program. This can be completed on line at fafsa.ed.gov, or a copy can be obtained though the Rowan University Office of Financial Aid.
- Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 4.5 credit hours at the graduate level or above in order to be eligible for student loan assistance.
- Graduate Assistantships
- The graduate assistantship for matriculated students provides tuition waiver and a stipend in exchange for part time work on campus. The graduate assistant application is located in the Graduate Admission Application and is submitted between January 1 and March 15. Full time students must take at least nine credits per semester. Part time students must take at least six credits per semester. For detailed requirements and application requirements click here.
- Some graduate programs have needs for Graduate Research Assistants. Candidate have to contact the research advisor (in their field of study) before they can apply. To apply for the graduate research assistantship, students have to submit an application along with two reccomendation letters. If your recommendation is from a Rowan University Professor, they can fill out a recommendation form through self-service/banner. Make sure to provide your professor with your banner ID.

- Veteran’s Benefits Eligible veterans may receive financial assistance in monthly payments based on dates and duration of service. Students interested in veterans' assistance should contact their local offices of the Veterans Administration or the Office of Specialized Services.
- Work Study
