Learning Community

The "Bio Connection" learning community is designed to make the transition to college as smooth as possible. Biological Sciences freshmen are housed in the same residence hall, take two courses together and participate in a variety of social, career and academic activities. As members of the "Connection" students:

  • Meet other Biological Sciences majors
  • Strengthen writing, research and study skills
  • Learn about campus services and policies
  • Attend social events
  • Explore career options and opportunities
  • Interact regularly with faculty
  • Establish classroom management skills
