The Department of History seeks to provide students with the opportunity to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the course of history and an understanding of the historical process. Students majoring in history have the opportunity to develop particular specializations within the liberal arts, and to prepare for a variety of careers in teaching, public service, and private enterprise.
