Our Mission

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences celebrates and affirms the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences as the core of liberal education and the basis for professional preparation. Our coursework promotes rigorous inquiry, analytical and integrative reasoning, and decision-making. Internships, field experiences, special programs of the College's Institute, and technological advances extend the liberal arts and sciences beyond the limits of the classroom and of the campus.
