The Talk:
The right tool for the right job is critical. We all know and understand that axiom when it comes to plumbing, carpentry or car repair. But it also holds true when searching for information. The trick is in knowing which tool the job calls for. There a number of search tools available for use on the World Wide Web (not just search engines). We will examine what those are, how they work, and when you should use which one. By developing an understanding of how the tool is built and how it works, the end-user can use it more effectively and efficiently. Participants should walk away from the evening with the beginnings of a set of tools for future use on the job or in pursuit of personal interests.
