Michael S. Vigorita, Ph.D. Associate Professor
Biography: Michael S. Vigorita, Associate Professor, received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University and is the Associate Chair of the Department of Law and Justice Studies. He has published articles on judicial decision making, sentencing and restorative justice. Currently, he is studying the role of altruism and cooperation within criminal justice agencies � specifically examining the extent cooperation evolves between criminal justice officials and clients; how altruism affects cooperative relationships and how altruism affects job performance, satisfaction and other indicators. His work is informed by practical experience as a former probation officer and collecting and analyzing data for the Administrative Office of the Courts.
