Gamma Chi Sigma - The Criminal Justice Club

Gamma Chi Sigma is a student run organization open to all Law and Justice Studies majors and minors. It is the local chapter of Lambda Alpha Epsilon, the American Criminal Justice Association. Professor Stanley Yeldell advises the group, which meets every Wednesday at 11 AM in Wilson 215.

The purpose of our organizationis to further professionalism in all areas of criminal justice, whether as professionals or students. Additionally, involvement in Gamma Chi is a great way to meet other like-minded law and justice majors, network and learn about classes or professors.

As a student run organization Gamma Chi Sigma is what we make it, and currrently we need interested law and justice students who want to make a substantial and positive contribution.

Alpha Phi Sigma - Epsilon Nu - The Law & Justice Honor Society

Epsilon Nu is the local chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. The society recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate, graduate students of criminal justice, as well as juris doctorate. Our current officers include:

  • Amy LoSacco, President
  • Mike Hatler, Vice President
  • Cherish DiSante, Treasurer
  • Tara Gillins, Secretary

All Law & Justice Studies majors or minors with a 3.2 GPA both overall and in Law & Justice Studies courses are welcome.

Society Requirements include:

  • Must have a declared major or minor in Law and Justice
  • Must have completed three semesters
  • A 3.2 GPA in Law and Justice Courses
  • A 3.2 GPA overall
  • Must also have completed a minimum of 4 courses within the field
  • Transfer students must have completed 2 semesters at Rowan

Download the application and return it along with a $50 cashier's check or money order to Faculty Advisors, Professor Schell-Busey in Wilson 116 or Professor Johnson in Wilson 217.

Victim Awareness Club

  • Faculty Advisor is Professor Stanley Yeldell.
  • Meets every Wednesday at 11 AM in Wilson 215.
