South Jersey Mathematics Alliance[Image]

The South Jersey Mathematics Alliance has been serving area mathematics teachers since 1990. The goal of the Alliance is to further the personal and professional development of faculty and teachers by bringing them together on a voluntary basis around an agenda they set for themselves. In the past, we had talks given by K-16 teachers on topics like the use of manipulatives, graphing calculator use, the standards, frameworks, assessment, and more.

Geometry in Action

This page collects various areas in which ideas from discrete and computational geometry (meaning mainly low-dimensional Euclidean geometry) meet some real world applications. It contains brief descriptions of those applications and the geometric questions arising from them, as well as pointers to web pages on the applications themselves and on their geometric connections.
