Admission Requirements for MA in ABA
The MA in Applied Behavior Analysis is designed for working students (i.e., evening classes) and can be completed in 4 semesters for full-time students. The admission requirements for the Master in ABA are:
- Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field (education, or special education, criminal justice, sociology) or experience in the field
- Successful completion of at least one undergraduate psychology class
- Official undergraduate transcript
- For applicants who have taken graduate courses, an official graduate transcript and a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Two letters of recommendation for graduate study by referents who can speak to the applicant’s academic abilities and experience working with clients if applicable, respectively.
- Writing sample (at interview)
- Personal interview
Admission Process
Students are admitted to the MA in ABA in the Summer/Fall semester only; therefore, applications for admission to the MA in ABA are due once a year on February 15.
Although we review applications as they arrive, we hold 2-3 days of interviews late February to late March. We anticipate that all decisons will be made by April 15.
Transfer Credits
Any student interested in applying for the transfer of graduate credits from another agency or from another program at Rowan, should complete the Transfer Request Form and submit to the Program Coordinator

If you apply to the MA in ABA Program using the online application form,
you will be asked for your GRE scores. If you have not taken the GREs, enter 0 for each score.
