Goal 1: Seventy patients will be enrolled in BOAST and of these, at least 59 patients in long-term residential drug treatment at MatriArk Family Center (MAFC) received at least 90 sessions of BOAST training.

1One of the five decided not to participate after being told that MAFC was closing.
2Two of 65 (3%) women resigned after 1 session of BOAST; 2 of 65 (3%) women left MAFC Against Medical or Clinical Advice (AMA/ACA); and 2 of 65 (3%) were Therapeutically Discharged by MAFC.


Goal 2:  At least 80% of BOAST participants achieved job-relevant levels of competence (demonstrating the skills at an average of at least 75% for last 3 weeks) on at least 7 of the 10 TW job-related and work-related skills and behaviors at the conclusion of BOAST program. Job-related skills are assessed as typing performance and keyboard entry. Work-related behaviors are measured via punctuality, appropriate dress/hygiene, professional courtesy on arrival and departure, sustained task focus, library mode levels during work, professional and positive communication during work, respect of property, and appropriate chat with colleagues.

Goal 3:  At least 80% of BOAST participants demonstrated appropriate (an average of 75% of the time for last 3 weeks) fiscal management skills on at least 3 of the 4 financial indicators by the conclusion of BOAST program, as evidenced by percentage of bills paid on time, accurate check-writing, accurate checkbook balancing, and maintaining a point surplus in their simulated checking account.
