Due to recent changes in the NJ state regulations for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), the MA program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rowan University is currently on hiatus and will not be accepting students for the Fall 2010 academic year.

Potential students interested in seeking such licensure are encouraged to read the full description of the licensure requirements available through the New Jersey Professional Counselor Examiners Committee of the State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners (see http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/proc/). Of primary importance is new wording stating that future applicants for licensure would need to come from a CACREP (Council of Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs: http://www.cacrep.org/) accredited program.
